Quick-Reference Ligature Guide

This is what you are looking for

Have you ever tried to read New Testament Greek manuscripts that are in cursive writing, called "minuscule" manuscripts or "cursives"? If you have, you have found out that knowing the regular Greek alphabet is not enough.

FACT: You must know also the shorthands scripts used, and abbreviations, and many alternate forms of the Greek letters. Yes, these are forms of the letters you have probably never seen before!

To learn those shorthands, which are basically cursive joinings of different letter combinations, called ligatures, you can search all over the Internet and piece together all the information like I did. Which will take you much time and energy. Or you can purchase a paper book that is a century or more old, for the price of $70.00 or more.

But here I have a better solution. Chances are, you are trying to read an electronic image of a Greek manuscript, like a jpg. So the manuscript you are reading is in the form of a window in your computer display monitor. Well, this eBook is designed as follows:

In one slender column, that will place on one narrow vertical sliver of you monitor, so that you have room in the rest of your monitor for the jpg image of the manuscript you are reading, plus maybe the GNT edition like the NA27, Robinson-Pierpont, or Textus Receptus.

Alphabetical Order - alphabetical order in the STANDARD script. So that when you are reading your manuscript, and you come across a glyph you do not know, but the next letter in your GNT edition is, say ZETA, you look on this ligature chart under ZETA in the STANDARD script, and on the right of that it will show you various glyphs and ligatures that start with ZETA. If that doesn't work, you keep going in the ZETA section until you find a ligature for combinations of letters that begin with ZETA.

In Adobe PDF format, the most common eBook format, which can be used on Windows, Macintosh, and Linux.

The price is only $9.95, which is hardly anything, when you consider how the $10 bill has become worth like a $1 bill these days.
