Google Books
At this link you can do a search for books the copyright
of which as lapsed in the USA, that is, from 1922 and
earlier. I downloaded from here several of Scrivener's books
free, for example.
When I find a little spare time, I put miscellaneous documents that
interest me into Microsoft Word. To some I add my own
footnotes. I almost always put them into both Microsoft Word 6.0 for
Windows 95 or greater, and also into Microsoft Word 5.1 for
Macintosh. The main link will be for Windows, and the Mac link is
located later in the description text.

The Constitution for Washington
The original constitution the people ratified and submitted. This
one is very interesting, for several reasons, eg., (1) it describes
Washington as including 3 northern counties of what is now known as
Idaho, and (2), it declares all lands to be allodial, and outlaws feudal
tenures. PDF format.

Macintosh Software
The best word processor application of all time is Microsoft Word 5.1
for the Macintosh. That is what I still mostly use. It works even on
an old Mac Plus running at 7 megahertz. If you can find it downloadable
anywhere, it might be here. I don't know. FYI, the mouse pointer is
so much more stable and precise in the Macintosh interface. Fonts are
also more stable on the screen than in Windows. I work with large documents,
with small fonts in the footnotes, and Greek and Hebrew fonts. There
is just no comparison in the quality and readability on the screen.
The Macintosh interface wins in this regard hands down. That's one of
the reasons Macintosh will never die.
SIL Apparatus font for Windows

Two songs- Larry Norman duet with Cliff Richard, "He's a Rock
That Doesn't Roll," then Larry singing "UFO."
Well, as long as I've mentioned Cliff Richard, here is another duet
he was involved in, with Olivia Newton-John. I am a big fan of human
voice harmony, and this is undoubtedly one of the better duets.
I lived a sheltered childhood in Papua New Guinea, isolated from the
world mostly. But the very first rock and roll record I ever heard was
an album by Creedence Clearwater Revival called "Bayou Country."
Here is a YouTube video of them playing the biggest hit track from that
album. Bob Dylan said it was his favorite single from the year 1969.
John Lennon said these guys were his favorite American rock band. The
band members, from left to right, are Tom Fogerty, rhythm gutar; Stu
Cook, bass; Doug Clifford, drums; John Fogerty, lead vocals, lead guitar,

You can listen to some
MIDIs here by left clicking the links, or download them by right
clicking the links. Macintosh users, to download the MIDIs,
hold down the mouse button on the link, and select "download
link to disk." I have listened to these music files on
Windows Media Player, and on Quicktime. They sound quite different,
with other factors being the same, meaning I am using the same amplifier
and stereo plugged in to both my PC and Mac. (I suppose it might
make a difference what sound card you have on the PC.) On Windows
Media Player, they have more of a base tone, but less detail.
I can hear much more detail with Quicktime, and hear more instruments
than I can on Windows Media Player, especially hear the imitation
strings better. I have not tried any other players, such as
Real Player. If you are using a Macintosh, and the MIDIs will
not play, find out what plugins you have for your browser, and what
file helpers you have selected in your browser's preferences.
